Prof. Ranya Saad Obtained her first BFA in fine arts from Helwan University in Egypt in 1999. In 2015 she obtained her second BFA of art education and educational psychology with distinction from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. This was followed by MA degree in 2017 focusing on storytelling and personal histories of the intergenerational traumas of diaspora, immigration, and sense of belonging.

Currently, Prof. Saad is a PhD candidate of philosophy of education through the arts. She is working towards completing her PhD degree; she is examining the development of educational theatrical performance to educate the mass population about gender-based violence and sexual harassment and to provide survivors with necessary support to tell their stories as a form of restorative justice.
